Tree Climber

Job Summary

Waverly Development is looking for exceptional people for Tree Climber positions. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Climb and/or operate a company lift to perform tasks such as tree trimming & tree removal
• Drive company vehicles and equipment to and from job sites
• Load/unload heavy equipment & secure for transport
• Operate loaders to gather, relocate, and/or stage debris
• Operate & maintain/service chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, rakes, chippers, stump grinders, and all other company equipment assigned
• Perform rigging and cabling tasks, as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to take direction from Crew Leader and other Branch Management, and ability to communicate effectively with other team members
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Belmont, MA and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends

 Education and Experience/ Licenses:

• 1+ year of tree work/ climbing experience preferred
• Experience using chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders and other power equipment preferred
• Valid MA Driver’s License a plus
• DOT medical card and CDL A or CDL B are a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand and walk long distances
• Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time, seasonal with the option to work during snow operations

Pay Range: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour depending upon experience
