Position Summary
The Landscape Account Manager assumes the primary responsibility for exceeding the expectations of our clients. The Account Manager must be able to successfully connect with clients as it relates to building relationship rapport. These responsibilities start with understanding our company culture and connecting that culture to the required service delivery model. As Account manager, your responsibilities will also include managing the work schedule and overall quality of all field operations; proposing and supervising the implementation of all work enhancement orders; and understanding and managing the profitability of each client account. A Positive attitude and the aptitude to grow with our business model will be the foundation of your success with the Community Landscape organization.
Core Responsibilities:
Personnel Development-
- Build, develop and maintain a strong team operational team.
• Evaluate team strengths and limitations; augment as appropriate to continually improve skills.
• Ensure proper development of all crewmembers.
• Ensure client relationship is successful and fosters trust through proactive communication.
• Mentor Crew Leaders and crew team members to ensure effective implementation of Community Landscape's
quality standard
• Perform timely annual performance evaluations and personnel development strategies
• Identify team members with potential for growth/career path
• Foster a cohesive team environment to ensure quick response for client expectations and
quality production initiatives
Community Lawn Services Customer Service Standards-
- Establish role as client's primary, responsible, point-of-contact.
• Instill customer confidence through exceptional service delivery and communication.
• Foster a performance culture of exceptional service among team members.
• Mentor crew members/leaders in building long-term client relationships.
• Provide assurance that contract obligations, quality standards and expectations are fulfilled.
• Provide support to team members in performing their work.
Community Landscape Service Delivery Standards-
- Ensure Community Landscape quality standards are met by all team members for its clients.
• Accountable for profitability by diligent monitoring and analysis of estimating and productivity.
• Manage systems & processes to ensure extra billable work is performed in a timely, accurate and profitable manner.
• Assists with the planning of both short-term and long-term enhancement objectives.
• Manage service crews, support crews and administrative staff to satisfy contract obligations and ensure responsive concern for client expectations.
• Ensures extra billable work is performed and processed in a timely manner.
Summary of Specific Responsibilities:
- Core Responsibilities
- Management of residential & commercial landscape accounts.
B. Maintains all company standards and ensures quality at all levels.
C. Implements procedures and processes, and coordinate routine and long-term tasks and schedules.
D. Maintain relationship with client as primary contact for all maintenance and enhancement activities. - Estimating/Sales
- Initiates enhancements proposals in coordination with delivering exceptional ‘curb appeal’.
B. Provides data for maintenance proposals and pricing.
C. Prepares estimates
D. Submits estimates to clients for approval
III. Job Costing of Accounts
- Monitors operational performance.
B. Measures budgeted hours vs actual hours
C .Measures budgeted costs vs., actual costs.
D. Ensures financial contract compliance.
- Personnel
- Recruits, assists in hiring and develop of operational team.
B. Maintains standards of performance and initiate periodic evaluations.
C. Represents company in professional groups/associations.
D. Maintains active contact with people and trends in the industry that affect operations.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- BS Degree (or equivalent) or 4 years’ experience in landscape maintenance preferred.
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written and reading comprehension.
• Ability to develop strong client and employee relationships
• Hands on approach to task management, employee and customer interaction.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Responsive to client's needs and requests – build customer rapport.
• Certifications as CLT or CLP preferred.
• Computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Email.
Personnel: - Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Proven leadership abilities with organized and structured approach to crew supervision
• Responsive with positive attitude and initiative, team oriented, and strong role model.
• Accomplished verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible in working in a change management work environment.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must possess a minimum of five years’ experience in a landscape company environment actively involved in landscape management or landscape installation.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATES:
Possession of a valid driver's license
