Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks related to landscape maintenance which include pruning, weeding, mulching, raking, cleaning, and other duties as assigned
- Must be able to take direction, lead, delegate, train, and support others in a positive and patient manner
- Ensure proper procedures, processes and quality of work are followed and achieved
- Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing quality of work
- Safe use of power equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, mowers, weed trimmers, etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site including the office, yard, and company vehicles
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
- Follow job site and vehicle safety procedures
- Attend training classes and seminars as requested by Branch Management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in leading a landscaping crew is required for this position
- Self-motivated, positive attitude and able to problem solve
- Well-rounded background in residential planting projects - both renovations and new installations
- Professional in appearance and actions
- Ability to communicate with and provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Detail oriented and quality driven
- Must be well organized with an ability to multi-task
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Belmont, MA and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends
Education and Experience/ Licenses:
- 1+ year of landscaping experience required
- Experience using commercial mowers and other power equipment required
- Valid MA Driver’s License required
- DOT medical card a plus
- Landscape industry certifications are a huge plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand and walk long distances
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time, seasonal with the option to work during snow operations
Pay Range: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour depending upon experience
