Landscape Crew Leader

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks related to landscape maintenance which include pruning, weeding, mulching, raking, cleaning, and other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to take direction, lead, delegate, train, and support others in a positive and patient manner 
  • Ensure proper procedures, processes and quality of work are followed and achieved
  • Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing quality of work
  • Safe use of power equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, mowers, weed trimmers, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly job site including the office, yard, and company vehicles
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Follow job site and vehicle safety procedures
  • Attend training classes and seminars as requested by Branch Management

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in leading a landscaping crew is required for this position
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and able to problem solve
  • Well-rounded background in residential planting projects - both renovations and new installations 
  • Professional in appearance and actions
  • Ability to communicate with and provide excellent customer service to our clients
  • Detail oriented and quality driven
  • Must be well organized with an ability to multi-task
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Belmont, MA and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends

 Education and Experience/ Licenses:

  • 1+ year of landscaping experience required
  • Experience using commercial mowers and other power equipment required
  • Valid MA Driver’s License required
  • DOT medical card a plus
  • Landscape industry certifications are a huge plus

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand and walk long distances
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time, seasonal with the option to work during snow operations

Pay Range: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour depending upon experience
