Irrigation Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks related to irrigation from startup to winterization and the maintenance in between
- Must be able to take direction, support, and communicate with others in a positive and patient manner
- Ensure proper procedures, processes and quality of work are followed and achieved
- Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing quality of work
- Safely use a wide variety of tools and equipment
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site including the office, yard, and company vehicles
- Follow all job site and vehicle safety procedures
- Attend training classes and seminars as requested by Branch Management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in irrigation is required for this position
- Irrigation system wire troubleshooting, including 2 wire systems
- Experience with soil moisture and ET based systems
- Self-motivated, positive attitude and able to problem solve
- Well-rounded background in irrigation repair and installation
- Professional in appearance and actions
- Ability to communicate with and provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Detail oriented and quality driven
- Must be well organized with an ability to multi-task
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop in Belmont, MA and must be willing to work extended hours and weekends
Education and Experience/ Licenses:
- 2+ years of irrigation experience required
- Experience in safe use of various types of power equipment required
- Valid MA Driver’s License with clean driving record required
- DOT medical card a plus
- Landscape/Irrigation industry certifications are a huge plus
Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending upon experience
