Responsibilities
- Manage local shop operations, including maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment usual to the commercial landscape industry.
- Able to work alone and prioritize workload with minimal guidance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and background in landscape industry vehicles and equipment
- Clean and orderly, able to work Saturdays.
- Maintain company provided equipment and machinery.
- Communicates effectively as necessary with manager, and other technicians to contribute to the overall performance of the location.
- Attends all required training, seeks additional training to maintain and increase effectiveness.
- Keeps up to date on industry trends and repair procedures.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience in commercial landscape equipment repair, including 2 & 4 cycle engines, walk behind & ride on mowers, light & medium duty trucks, and trailers.
- Own tools preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures.
- Tree Care equipment experience a plus.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
- Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, employees, and management.
- Basic computer skills in email, MS Excel, Internet.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
