Pennsylvania Style Farmhouse
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Our client is a family of five that enjoys spending time outside but they own another home in Northern Wisconsin that is their outdoor getaway.
For this Pennsylvania-style farmhouse, they wanted a nice outdoor living area but didn’t want it to be too large.
This Pennsylvania Style Farmhouse was the client’s idea and had already started being built when they came to Landscape Associates. Maintaining the view of the naturalized area behind the home, a fireplace, an outdoor grilling area, and a vegetable garden were all must-haves for the client.
With severe grade changes in the backyard, the challenge was to come up with a landscape design that created three separate outdoor living areas. The design also required access to and from different levels of the home and the use of consistent materials throughout.
Bluestone was the material chosen and the project featured natural stone steps, natural stone walls, and natural stone patios throughout the landscaping.
A roofed pergola with patio heaters to extend the season while grilling was recommended by Landscape Associates with the vegetable garden featuring custom-built fencing right next to the grilling area and garage of a spring house.
Natural stone steps gently transition the grilling area down to the natural stone patio with a fireplace made from the same stone used on the face to complete the Pennsylvania Style Farmhouse.
I am very pleased with the professional work Landscape Associates performs. 2 thumbs up!
