Kings Shade Green
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Landscape Associates, a Sperber Company, was invited to bid on the construction of the King Shade Garden at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens.
After being awarded the bid, Landscape Associates worked with the landscape architect and Green Bay Botanical Gardens’ management to meet the design concept’s needs and the gardens’ budget.
Landscape Associates was able to overcome challenges in the project, including using large natural stone slabs, meeting ADA requirements, a limited time window for installation, coordinating subcontractors, and minimizing the damage to existing Oak trees.
The King Shade Garden features a peaceful stream and boulder-lined path that leads you through a picturesque constructed ruin of a spring house.
Landscape Associates won the 2013 Gold Award from the Wisconsin Landscape Construction Association.
Landscape Associates has done several projects at Green Bay Botanical Garden, helping make the Garden one of the premier public gardens in the country.
